 The safety of our guests and staff members is – and always will be – our number one priority, and we are continuing to adhere to specific guidance set out by the Welsh Government. We are reacting to guidance as it is announced and will update this page accordingly.

Please take the time to read the following information thoroughly, so you know what to expect during your stay.

Please note: we have gone cashless to aid cleanliness, minimise contact, and help protect our guests. As such, please be prepared to pay on card (or via our website or app) when you visit or stay with us. 

IMPORTANT: Upon check in, all adults staying within the same room will need to provide ID to confirm that they are from the same household.

We're 'Good to Go'!

We’re delighted to have acquired the Industry Standard green tick as part of the Visit Britain ‘Good to Go’ scheme.

This demonstrates that we are adhering to the respective government, industry, and public health guidance in relation to COVID-19, and that we have a risk assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

What are the new room rates?

With the current situation we wanted to make sure a staycation with us was not only a break away from the stress and worry but at a really affordable price. We have lowered all our rates and breakfast is included complimentary with your stay.

All prices quoted will be based on two guests sharing a room, prices vary depending on peak times, as well as room type.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is included complimentary with all bookings, you will be require to book your table either prior to or upon arrival.

Which areas of Oxwich Bay can be enjoyed during my stay?

  • Just 10 metres from our front door is the 2-mile long Oxwich Bay beach, which is open. Click here for further information about the beach.
  • Walks can be undertaken in the local area, including our woodland, the coastal path, and the Oxwich National Nature Reserve. Click here for further information.

How will check-in and check-out work?

Check-in

Check-in is 2PM for our hotel rooms and Secret Garden Pods, and 4PM for our cottage rooms and static homes. If payment has not already been taken for your stay, payment in full is now due.

Check-out

Check out is 10.30am for all of our accommodation. Please return your keys to our recption.

What safety and cleaning procedures will be in place?

We are continuing to maintain strict standards of cleanliness and safety across all areas of the property and accommodation. This includes:

    • Extra cleaning of all accommodation before and after each stay. To help keep you safe while you are with us, our Housekeeping will not enter your room to clean it duringyour stay unless your stay is 4 nights or more, in which case we will make arrangements with you on check in.
    • Extra cleaning of any public areas, and use of screens where possible and necessary.
    • Making hand sanitiser available to all guests across key areas and implementing one-way walking flows to help ensure social distancing.
    • All employees washing their hands frequently with antibacterial soap and water, and wearing gloves and face coverings where needed and appropriate.
    • Face masks must be worn in all public areas including the reception, shared accommodation hallways and in certain areas in the restaurant when not seated. 
 

We ask guests not to stay with us if they have any symptoms of COVID-19, or fall within the period of isolation after contracting it (or a family member contracting it). There will be procedures for assisting and isolating any guests who develop any symptoms whilst onsite to ensure the safety of all guests. 

What is your COVID-19 cancellation policy?

The spread of COVID-19 has caused an atmosphere of unease, leaving many worried about their pre-booked holidays, both abroad and at home. At the Oxwich Bay we want to make sure that you can still enjoy your holiday, even if it takes place on a different date to originally planned.

I have a deposit from a cancelled stay. How do I apply this to a new booking?

If you had a stay booked with us that has been cancelled due to COVID-19, we will hold your deposit and transfer if to a new booking free of charge. To make a new booking using this deposit, please fill in the form below, stating your new dates – availaiblity can be checked by clicking here – and a member of our team will be in touch. Alternatively you can call or email us for us to re-arrange your stay.
