A New Way to Enjoy Oxwich Bay Hotel By the Beach

From November 2026, we’re embracing the quieter seasons a little differently. Alongside our regular hotel stays, dining and drinks, selected days will be dedicated to Private Hire – giving groups the opportunity to have Oxwich Bay Hotel all to themselves.

It means uninterrupted time with the people who matter most, whether that’s friends, family or colleagues. From special celebrations and family get-togethers to corporate retreats, wellness escapes and pre-wedding stays, it’s a chance to slow down, reconnect and enjoy our beautiful beachfront setting as your own.

And there’s something particularly special about Oxwich during the quieter months. Cosy up beside one of our three roaring log fires, relax in our lounges overlooking the sea, or wrap up and head outside to explore. Take a stroll through our ancient woodland and join the Wales Coast Path as it meanders through the woods, or visit St Illtyd’s medieval church, our beautiful 12th-century neighbour, which is open to visitors daily.

For keen walkers, the Wales Coast Path has a rather special claim to fame. Opened in 2012, it was the world’s first dedicated path to follow the entire coastline of a country, stretching some 870 miles from Chepstow to Chester.

As a result of our new Private Hire offering, our hotel, Café Bar and Restaurant opening days will vary throughout winter and spring, before returning to daily opening for the warmer months. You’ll find our opening dates and times below to help you plan your next visit to Oxwich.
